Now of course, you know I'd probably say something like that, otherwise you likely wouldn't be reading my review.
Kevin handled the formatting of my new book and guided me through the entire process with professionalism, patience, and an amazing amount of tolerance.
I should point out that I am a Baby Boomer. (Hold the applause.)
My first book came out back in the days when I just paid a few thousand dollars and wound up with a garage full of 1,000 books. Pretty simple process. It did not involve Amazon, laptops, EPUB files, PDFs, uploads, downloads, or the occasional urge to throw a computer through a window.
Now, being born in the 1950s, a lot of this 21st century technology can get aggravating. Kevin walked me through all of that.
Of course, I was raised with Elvis, The Beatles, Jimi, Janis, The Doors, CCR and Skynyrd. (You can clap now.) So I've always had plenty of creative thoughts floating around in my head. Common questions
Will it pass KDP review? Amazon makes the final review decision. The files are built to Amazon's printing specs (trim, margins, gutter, spine math, barcode clearance), and if KDP ever bounces a file I built, the fix is mine and it's free.
Is this the same as the book generator? No. The automated generator costs $9 and can generate from an idea or process an uploaded manuscript. This $299 hands-on service takes a manuscript you already wrote — your words, untouched, professionally set — with me handling it end to end by email.
Who does the work? A person — me, Kevin. You'll email with me directly, and the same person who formats your book answers your questions.
